Naufal is now 13 months old!!
|
|
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations..
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on..
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much..
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
t he heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom .

Naufal is now 9 months..
|

... and he has turned into a mini-batman.. 
Time has passed so fast.. Naufal is now crawling, and almost walking on his own.
He's becoming so playful and giddy. It's really fun being around him, his smile is definitely contagious!

It's Friday, my nineth day back at work and I'm starting to get back in the roll of things.
I should be working but all I can think about is my little baby at home.
2 hours and 12 minutes to go...

Our first shopping trip..

Believe me I'm not trying to turn my little baby into the next super-shopaholic but it is about time we get out of the house for a change right Especially since mummy has to start work again next month.
I took an extra month off from work so that I can take care of my baby, and take care of myself at the same time too.. Two months is just too short to recover from a surgical childbirth. In fact even if I delivered normal, I would've still taken the extra month off, just so that I can spend a little more time with my little Naufal.. seeing his smiles, hearing him laugh and responding to his little baby talks.. ahhh.. I say we should get a YEAR off!!!
Anyway, this is what we bought on our first shopping trip to Babyland in SS2 PJ. It's on SALE at 20% off..
This is fun mummy..
